Broccoli is known for its high Vitamin C content, but not everyone knows that it also contains protein. It’s a favorite amongst kids not only because it’s tasty, but also because it’s the “tree” you can eat!

Ingredients
- 1 bunch broccoli cut into florets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic finely chopped
- 1/2 lemon
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 sprinkle sesame seeds
- lemon peel for garnish

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
- Toss broccoli florets with the olive oil, garlic, the juice from half a lemon, sesame seeds, and salt and pepper.
- Place on a baking sheet and put in the oven until tender and slightly crispy at the edges (about 20 minutes).
- Garnish with twisted lemon peel and serve.
Recipe Notes
Kid Chef Tips: Younger children can measure and add ingredients, toss broccoli, and put it on the pan. Older children can cut broccoli into florets and cut up garlic.
